Art isn’t just about colors and canvas — it’s a mirror reflecting the spirit of a city, its people, and its journey. And this August, Da Nang is lighting up with creativity as young Vietnamese artists gather for a vibrant art showcase like no other. Get ready to dive into a world where culture, passion, and imagination meet at the “Youth Art – Da Nang 2025” exhibition.
Celebrating More Than Just Art
Held at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, this exhibition is more than an artistic gathering — it’s part of a series of meaningful events celebrating incredible national milestones:
- 80 years of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day (1945–2025)
- 80 years of the cultural sector’s heritage (1945–2025)
- Da Nang’s 23rd City Party Congress (Term 2025–2030)
This year marks the second edition of the young art exhibition, the first being back in 2023. And just like before, it’s not only here to captivate tourists and art lovers alike — it’s giving young creatives from Da Nang and Hue the space to connect, share, and inspire.
A Platform for Emerging Artists
Over 70 artworks were submitted this year, with 40 chosen to grace the gallery walls. These pieces — crafted between 2023 and 2025 — represent personal and collective expressions of heritage, humanity, and the vibrant spirit of modern Vietnam.
What makes these works stand out? The sheer diversity. You’ll find oil paintings, lacquer art, acrylics on canvas, and mix-media pieces using everything from natural textures to modern abstract styles. Each creation is a window into the artist’s world — their reflections on identity, community, and a fast-growing globalized society.
A Few Highlights from the Exhibition
Here are just a few examples of what’s on display:
Hà Châu – “Old House”, Oil on Canvas, 120 x 140cm, 2025
Đỗ Như Tuấn – “Hoi An 2”, Acrylic on Canvas, 80 x 100cm, 2024
Lâm Nguyệt Hà – “Sacred Echo”, Lacquer Art, 120 x 160cm, 2024
Each of these pieces captures a unique emotion — whether it’s nostalgia, pride, or the desire to contribute to the cultural landscape of Vietnam.
Fun for the Whole Family: Creative Workshops for Kids
Art isn’t just something you look at — it’s something you can live. That’s why the museum is also hosting a hands-on art workshop for children and visitors called “Creative Summer Fun”. Taking place on the morning of August 26th, this kid-friendly event invites families to get creative with:
- Painting on river stones
- Crafting paper toys
- Sculpting with air-dry clay
- Drawing portraits with local artists
- And even decorating traditional Vietnamese conical hats!
Not only is it an exciting way to learn and create, but it also helps kids explore their imagination and develop an early love for art.
