From the moment I stepped onto the winding stone path, something felt different. It was incredibly quiet. Peaceful, even. The outdoors melted into the gallery’s atmosphere — minimalist concrete blending with vibrant greenery.
Inside, I was greeted with cool air (thank you, AC!) and the quiet hush of discovery. Only one other group was there, so it felt like I had this whole soothing space to myself.
Main Exhibition Hall
The central building holds the largest slice of Lebadang’s work. Paintings, sculptures, a self-portrait — each piece carefully placed in a space designed to reflect the artist’s spirit. Stylish, but not overly curated — just enough to keep things visually intriguing while letting the art speak.
There’s also a roof area above the exhibit (yup, there’s an elevator!), giving you a 360-degree view of Hue’s mountainous landscape. Although not much else is up there at the moment, I could totally see them turning it into a cozy rooftop café or seating area someday.
Underground Gallery
This part felt like stepping into another world. Built right into the hillside, the crescent-shaped underground gallery showcases even more of Lebadang’s pieces — all thoughtfully arranged under soft lighting and cool atmosphere. You can access it by stairs or a meandering stone path.
It’s calm, quiet, and the kind of space where you really feel the stories behind the art.
Coffee Shop & Lake Views
There’s also a small lake on the premises with a charming café tucked just beyond it. Whether you’re looking to reflect on what you’ve seen or just recharge with a cold drink, this little corner is perfect.
Also worth mentioning: there’s a separate building for workshops and artist retreats (it was closed during my visit). Fingers crossed it reopens soon.
