The People’s Committee of Da Nang has officially kicked off a Logo Design Competition for the city in 2025. This isn’t just about creating a pretty picture – it’s a call to creatives, designers, and passionate individuals to shape how Da Nang will be seen at home and abroad.

Who Can Join the Challenge?
Good news: this contest is open to everyone! Whether you’re a professional designer, a design student, or simply someone with a creative spark—Da Nang welcomes you.
- Individuals and groups (from Vietnam or any other country!) can participate.
- Each person or team can submit up to 3 original designs.
What the Judges Are Looking For
Da Nang wants more than just a good-looking logo. They’re seeking something meaningful and versatile. Here’s what your design should embody:

- Must be an original, unpublished design
- Never before used or submitted in any other contest, locally or internationally
✅ Symbolism & Storytelling
- Reflect the unique character and cultural identity of Da Nang
- Represent iconic elements – like natural landscapes, modern architecture, or cultural landmarks
- Embrace Da Nang’s essence: hospitality, dynamism, innovation, and ambition
✅ Vision-Aligned
Your design is expected to echo Da Nang’s strategic vision for the future:
- A smart, eco-friendly, vibrant city
- A hub for tourism, culture, finance, tech, and logistics
- A center for creativity and sustainable development in Central Vietnam and the Central Highlands
✅ Technical Excellence
- Clean, minimalist, and modern
- Visually balanced composition and impactful color choices (up to 3 colors)
- Easy to recognize and remember
- Works well in different sizes, formats (online, print), and in both full color and monochrome
- Components (images, text) should be clearly separated and not visually clashing
Submission Guidelines
Ready to enter? Here’s how:
🖨 Submit on Paper:
- Design must be shown centered on an A4 sheet (21 x 29.7 cm)
- Logo size should NOT exceed 15 x 15 cm
- Include smaller black & white and colored versions (max: 3 x 3 cm) on the sides
- Clearly list color codes in the bottom-left corner of the page
💾 Submit Digitally:
- Include a soft copy of your design on a DVD or USB
- Submit a concept explanation (max 300 words on A4) in Vietnamese or with a Vietnamese translation if submitting in another language

Note: If your design wins, you’ll work with the organizing committee to finalize the logo and prepare it for official usage. The rights of the winning design will be transferred to the Da Nang Government.

Fair warning: plagiarism or copyright violations are a no-go. If there’s any copyright dispute after winning, the award will be revoked—no exceptions. Designers are fully responsible for the intellectual property of their submissions.
